What are dip powder nails?
Dip powder nails are somewhere between a regular mani and a fake acrylic nail. We can consider them a "diet acrylic," says celebrity manicuris Erica Marton. Instead of using UV light to seal in your base and top gel polish, the color comes from a pigmented powder. Optionally, you can do clear dipping powder (non colour powder) and paint shellac/gel colour on top . Between base coats and a sealant, you dip your nails into a little jar of your chosen color (SNS, OPI and Chisel are the most popular and vetted manufacturers) for a mani that could last three to four weeks.

Is it safe for your nails?
They are similar in that both provide an extra layer of protection to natural nails
When applied properly, the finished Dipping Powder application is strong, durable, flexible, odor free, has a natural feel, is non allergenic, protects the real nail and is healthy for the nail bed.
In addition to offering a system that helps reduce the chemical load and resulting damage to the nails, the SNS Dipping Powder bases and sealers are enriched with no less than 5 nutrients and antioxidants: Vitamins A, E, D3, and B5, plus Calcium.
The SNS dipping powder system actively improves the health of the nail!
